File Allocation Table Recovery

File allocation table recovery is the file used to recover the file tables. It is known as FAT used in the FAT file system.

File allocation table uses two types. They are synchronized and they are used occasionally. They are located between the boot block and the root directory structure. They keep track of clusters if the first cluster exceeds the marker exceeds the location of the next cluster used by the file. Operating system keeps track of files. If one of the sequential markers is lost then that part of the file is lost. If file allocation tables are lost then the operating system cannot even begin to locate the files. Sometimes corruption occurs when two markers point the same cluster.
