Tape Recovery Software and Services

Tape is a magnetically coated strip of plastic on which data can be encoded. Storing the data on tapes are cheaper the storing data on disks. Accessing data on tapes is slower compared to the disks. Tapes are sequential-access media where as disks are random access media. Tapes are also used for transporting large amount of data. There are variety so tapes which differ in size and formats. Tapes are generally used for long term storage.

Tape recovery have special tape drives and software’s that can bypass physical damage to the tape media, incorrect market information, improper formats that prevents tape software from executing a successful restore. Tape recovery recovers:

  1. Tapes wrapped up due to flood, water damage, earthquake etc.
  2. If tapes are burnt accidentally or intentionally
  3. Physical damage to the tapes
  4. Tapes are damaged due to software problem
  5. Tapes are smashed by chemicals and smoke etc.
